UO Project Part 2

After initial interviews, applicants for the URBN Internship were tasked with creating 2-3 images for their respective departments. I had applied for the Home & Print team so when making my illustrations, I was thinking about what would look good as various products. I looked through many of Urban Outfitter’s products and became inspired by mod styles and lava lamps. Mid-century textiles and the shapes within lava lamps inspired me. I focused on creating those separated organic shapes and adding little patterns and designs within them to add interest. When I went into this illustration, I wanted this to be part of a set that could appear alongside the design for Part 1.
